For the first time since I´ve been home I got to talk with someone from the U.S who wasnt a missionary. It was so weird, it was hard to talk in English. I was stumbling for my words because I was so use to speaking spanish constantly that speaking in English was hard. It was so weird. The language I´m fluent in I couldn´t speak it. Probably one of the weirdest experiences I have had here in Sevilla.
So today we have our changes. Dont worry Im still in my first area. Ive been here for 4 and a half months and Ill be here for another 6 weeks. The maximum time a missionary can be in an area is 6 months. So next transfer for sure I will be leaving. Elder Mejia will still be here. But Elder Castillo will be leaving for Medellin. He gets to be companions with Elder Dean, a missionary from my group! So yeah still no change for us, but Im so happy because Ill be here for what we hope to be at least two baptisms. I couldnt be more happy for our investigators making good choices and wanting to become more like our Savior. We hope that Juan Sebastian and his cousin Dayana can be baptized here soon. It amazing seeing the change in people. Seeing the light of Christ enter their hearts and walking in His path. You cant help but be filled with joy and happiness.
This Sunday we had this fun ward activity. We set up a booth in the middle of a local park and we had tons of stuff out for people to look at. Book of Mormons, Liahonas, Pamphlets, Pass-along-cards. etc. We got a lot of new contacts and we now have a lot of new investigators. It was so fun talking to people, and everyone asking me to speak in English. It was so cool because it was funny to see peoples expressions when I would say something. It was so cool to meet new people and get to know the culture here in Sevilla. I was nervous to talk with people, but Elder Castillo really helped me as we went to contact new people, it was a fun Sunday.
I have a quick scripture I would like to share with you guys that I came across in my personal study. Its Moroni 7:48
I just love this scripture, reading it line by line has an amazing promise. Really its crazy how much one scripture can be an impact. Pray with all energy of heart, that we may be filled with HIS love. And that if we continue to do what he has asked of us we can become like him. I love this scripture so much and I love the promise, that if we do our part, he is bound to do his part to. D&C 82:10.
I love the people here in Colombia and the amazing opportunity I have to share his gospel is amazing.
Sorry I dont have photos this week, I left my cord to connect my camera in the house. I will have a lot more next week. Promise. Have another good week back home ya Americans.
48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.
